  • The Metropolitan Museum of Art Collection: This magnificent fountain pen by Retro51 pays homage to an impressive suit of armor (1586) made in the royal workshops at Greenwich under the direction of master armorer Jacob Halder (English, documented 1558–1608), now in The Met collection. It was designed for field and tournament use for George Clifford, Third Earl of Cumberland and a famous Knight of the Garter, starting in 1592.

This fountain pen replicates the original craftsman's decorative work with Queen Elizabeth I's family emblem, the Tudor rose, the fleur-de-lis (part of English arms at the time), and two back-to-back E's (Elizabeth's cipher). The gold and black design is printed on a brass barrel and cap with a protective matte finish, completed with polished brass trim. Own a piece of history with this beautiful writing instrument.

  • Details and Features:
    - Historic pattern printed on brass cap and barrel
    - The Met logo on the top ring and crown
    - Numbered Top Ring
