Our Vienna Fruit design features the work of renowned Art Nouveau illustrator Anton Seder. It was inspired by his 1890 work, Die Pflanze in Kunst und Gewerbe (The Plant in Art and Trade). We were drawn to this piece by Seder’s harmonious use of space, abundance of detail and intimate depiction of natural elements.

Paperblanks is a Canadian manufacturer that produces quality journals that are not only attractive but also highly structured and bound using traditional techniques; the bindings are not glued (a binding technique that is economical for the manufacturer but eventually leads to page loss) but are all sewn instead.
All Paperblanks journals are bound using one of two methods. They are either hand-sewn using 'Coptic' binding, which originated in 4th-century Egypt, or Smythe sewn, the most durable binding technique, which allows the journal to open flat without page loss.
All Paperblanks journals use acid-free, archival-quality, high-opacity laid paper. Their journals also include a ribbon marker and a storage pouch inside the back cover to keep your notes.
