Paperblanks is a Canadian manufacturer that produces quality journals that are not only attractive but also extremely well-structured and bound using traditional techniques; the bindings are not glued (a binding technique that is economical for the manufacturer but eventually leads to page loss), but instead, they are all sewn.
All Paperblanks journals are bound using one of two methods. They are either hand-sewn using 'Coptic' binding, which originated in 4th-century Egypt, or they are Smyth sewn, which is the most durable binding technique and allows the journal to lie flat without losing pages.
All Paperblanks journals use acid-free, archival-quality, and high-opacity laid writing paper. Their journals also include a ribbon marker and an interior storage pouch inside the back cover for storing your notes.
